Betty Jane Moczygemba passed peacefully at home on January 12, 2018. She was born February 25, 1927 to John R. and Genevieve Isaacs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix S. Moczygemba, who passed away on March 25, 2004. Betty is survived by sons, John Moczygemba and wife Kay, Stan Moczygemba and wife Karen and daughter, Mary Jane Verette and husband David: grandchildren, Kevin Garvin and wife Renee, Gina Garvin, Sheri Lyn Moczygemba, Dr. Leslie Breitenkamp and husband Bret, Laura Verette Carson and husband Stephen, Emily Verette Sellers and husband Timothy, and David Verette, Jr.: great grandchildren Grant Garvin, Riley Stricker, Connor Hastcoat, Hannah, Luke and Benjamin Breitenkamp, Rory and Pearl Sellers. Betty touched many lives and gave unselfishly her entire life. Her biggest joy was the pride and love she felt for her children. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage and had researched the family history to Northern Ireland, having met the extended family and even visited several times with her dear sister, Mary Margaret Inselmann. She was a member of Stephen F. Austin's Old 300 and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She proudly displayed the 90th birthday card she received from the DAR until her passing. She received multiple recognitions for her work for the State of Texas as an accounting manager and attended the University of Texas at San Antonio. She also maintained a lifelong friendship with several classmates from Ursuline Academy. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 21 at 6:00 P.M. at Porter Loring North Chapel located at 2102 North Loop 1604 East, 78232. The requiem Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr, San Antonio, 78216 at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 22. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. |
